    Fat Man Walking

Steve Vaught walks along Route 201 in Vandalia, Ohio, on March 9.

FAIRFIELD, New Jersey (AP) -- Steve Vaught may have lost more than 100 pounds on his walk across the country, but he says he's gained something else: peace of mind.

At 410 pounds a year ago, the 40-year-old father of two from San Diego, California, was battling a severe eating disorder and deep depression, caused by the guilt over accidentally killing two elderly pedestrians 15 years ago.

These kind of stories get kind of old. I'm sorry, I'm glad he is doing it, but how many people are going to do this?? First you had Forrest Gump running across the nation multiple times, then you had the Chicago Cubs fan walking from Arizona to Chicago and now this! How do these people pay for their mortgage when they are doing all of this walking!!

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

Probably on disability income for his eating disorder. In short you are paying for it with your taxes.
