Fairweather, Temp, and Bandwagon Fans
Do these type of people give up on everything in life or just their teams?

Eh ... some people just are not latched on to teams and float year to year ... does not bother me so much.
I am kind of like that in basketball. I tend to cheer for players and against teams more than for teams so my allegiances change regularly.

Doesn't really matter to me. I'm not going to think less of someone because of it.
I mean, I'm a fairweather Twins fan. I just don't give a crap enough about baseball to watch the Twins when they suck. The sport doesn't interest me that much. I would rather watch paint dry than watch baseball when the Twins are not in it.
As long as they don't act like the biggest fans ever."There is good and there is evil. And evil must be punished. Even in the face of Armageddon I will not compromise."

Fuck ... even then it does not matter to me all that much. Who the hell am I to judge who and why the cheer for a team.

Football you have 16 games and you have a hard time getting back in it if you fall apart

Re: Fairweather, Temp, and Bandwagon Fans
I hate getting in silly little fights with the protection of the internet to keep me from getting hurt.. And I have no problem with bandwagon/temp/fairweather fans, but you can't like a team because of one or two players.
ie move to the next team when said player gets hurt/moves to a different team.
I personally believe, if you are a fan of a team, you are a fan of the team.
You can't be a fan of the team, and think 99% of their players are garbage.
That isn't how it works.

I think that is irrelevant to my point. My point is not everyone enjoys the game enough to watch at all times."happy" wrote:

Re: Fairweather, Temp, and Bandwagon Fans
I don't see the big deal.
If a team is playing great and putting on exciting games (like the Vikings this season) then I understand why you want to follow them. I love to watch great games, no mather who's playing (although it's extra fun to watch the Vikings of course).
The bandwagon fans are football fans, while we are football fans AND Vikings fans. The important thing is that we all loves the beauty if the sport.
