ESPN fires baseball analyst Reynolds
Cable network doesn't give reason for dismissing 11-year commentator

Updated: 12:06 a.m. MT July 25, 2006
BRISTOL, Conn. - Harold Reynolds is out at ESPN, reportedly fired from his job as a baseball analyst.
Reynolds, a member of the “Baseball Tonight†team for 11 years, made his last appearance on the show Sunday night, ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz said Tuesday.
The network refused to comment on a New York Post report that said Reynolds was dismissed, or to provide any details regarding his departure.
“All I can say is he is no longer working here,†Krulewitz said.
Reynolds, who played 12 major league seasons, joined ESPN in 1996. In addition to his work on Baseball Tonight, the former Gold Glove-winning second baseman also covered the College World Series and the Little League World Series for the network.
ESPN already was dealing with the loss of another baseball analyst, Peter Gammons, who has been off the air since he was stricken with a brain aneurysm on June 27.300

Re: ESPN fires baseball analyst Reynolds
This sucks. Harold and Gammons were the only ones on there that I could stand. Kruk or what ever his name is really annoying. I won't be watching as much Baseball Tonight as I used to. I watched it tonight and that guy that I'm not sure of his name was saying he didn't think the Twins would over take the Sux becuase he didn't think Mauer could keep hitting the way he has been and if Punto could last at 3rd base and score as much as he has been.
Obviously the guy hasn't watched much of the Twins because even when Mauer struggles at the plate which he has since the all-star break we are still winning the game. Even when Punto doesn't get on base we have shown the ability to drive in other runners. This is a TEAM and just because we have some question marks doesn't mean we should be written off. Every team has some question marks, even the Sux.
Thanks Josdin

Re: ESPN fires baseball analyst Reynolds
If they kept Michael Irvin on their NFL pregame show after he got caught with drugs in his car, I wonder what the hell Reynolds did to get fired :???:
PM me if you'd like a sig.
