    EQT Jersey with wrinkled numbers?

Figure this is about the best place to post this...

Wife got me an EQT jersey last x-mas

    http://vikingmerchandise.com/vikings/customer/product.php?productid=2065&cat=9&page=1

I've been taking care of it, only washing it in cold water by itself and hang drying it when it needed to be washed.
Well after I wore it this past week my wife decided to do laundry and she washed/dried the washing machine/dryer.

Luckily the colors did not bleed into the stitched in letters, but the numbers are all wrinkled now, and it looks pretty crappy.
Anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this problem?
I'm guessing using an iron on the numbers should work, but I don't know if the heat will make it worse then it is now.
I just hope the jersey isn't ruined...

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give

I'm not an expert on this, maybe others are. But first of all don't use a real hot iron. And I would guess to put a white pillow case over the numbers before you iron the rathar than putting the iron right on the numbers. You wife or mother should know how to do this.

Wife told me to put a book over it when it came out the dryer... I said "yeah what's that supposed to do."
"Oh, it will work trust me..."

24 hours later with a book on it it looks the same and she says

"See it's better" even though it looks exactly the same

Maybe I'll call my mom and ask her what she thinks is the best

Warm Iron and a shirt underneath the iron should help.

EQT jerseys have stitched numbers on them & run about $100. Personally I do not care for them because the stitching of the numbers looks cheap.

Your first mistake was putting it in the dryer. I never do that & always hang it to dry. It should also be removed from the washer immediately after it completes washing. It should always be washed on a gentle cycle, in cold water & the jersey should always be turned inside out.

An steam iron may work in your case now, but as Cojo mentioned, cover it with a pillow case first. It must be a steam iron as you will need to add moisture back into the jersey to remove the wrinkles.

If you insist on using a dryer, only use a low heat setting & remove it when it is still damp.
