Enough Football - Lets Talk Wii
I'm tired of cutting and pasting multiple quotes in threads today.
I have done my part to educate the masses in the ways of Marrdro thought when it comes to our beloved Vikes.
;D
On to bigger and better things..........I got Wildwoman a Wii for her anniversary present.
Let me tell you it wasn't easy either.
I was on several waiting lists and have bid my ass off on E-bay with no success.
(No way anything that is bought on E-bay is a bargain by the way)
Anyway, I actually scored my big achievement via Sears for cripes sake.
It is a bundle (I think I actually know what that means) that comes with 2 games (equals 14 total games) mostly the sports stuff, 2 types of controllers (2 each) and associated chargers/holders etc.
She wants to get a fit board for it, boring (I do want to play the game were you bounce the ball with your head
;D), but I want to get some other games as well.
Couple of questions for you wise gamers.......
a.
What do you recommend?
b.
Anyone had any problems with the things that I should be aware of (over heating/TV screen burn in etc).
Please don't tell me how much better the other things like Xbox and PS3 are as I heard it all from Wildman. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

I have a Wii (and others) and I really enjoy it.
The sports are OK, Rock Band is better on the Wii than the PS3 (although you can't download) and MarioKart rocks!
Definitely go for MarioKart.
You can also go online via the Wii and download all of the old classic arcade game, which is fun too.
I haven't heard of any problem related to the TVs, although before they reinforced the wrist strap there were people losing the wiimote and breaking their screens.

When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Re: Enough Football - Lets Talk Wii
I have a 360, but I am really into games and the whole thing so I know a couple of things about the Wii
1. Games
It depends on if you want the have fun games or the good games that will keep you locked in
1. Fun Games
Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Mario Kart,
2. Good Games
Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Legends of Zelda
If you go the Guitar Hero route, DO NOT GET AEROSMITH!!!!!!!!!
3. Problems
Theres no really technical problems with the Wii because it doesnt need as much power as the 360 or PS3. Just make shure you put the infared bar in a good spot.
My Suggestion
Dont play it non stop because I know friends who buy it and then 1 month later sell it because they love it but it eventually gets boring if thats all you play.
Hope this helps

Re: Enough Football - Lets Talk Wii
It's funny you had such a tough time getting one...
My roommate had one and we played a bunch for the first week, but now no one touches it. We play the playstation 2 and 3 more than the Wii i think... not even sure why, it's a fun system. (oh, that's right... I'm a lazy pile of shit and don't want to move around)
With that said...
Wii bowling is a lot of fun with multiple people
Madden isn't too good
Guitar Hero - possibly the best of all the systems
Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

I am not sure how big it is but I intend to put the bar right under my flat screen.
Wildwoman and I aren't much for gaming, atleast not to the degree that Wildman is (online wars/shooting/headset wearing etc).
We are interested in the golf, tennis, bowling kind of things.
Two votes for Mariokart. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
