"Dr. Death" (Kevorkian) released from prison after 8 years

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070601/ap_on_re_us/kevorkian_s_release

personally I dont see anything wrong with what he did. If somebody is terminally ill, why cant they have their wish and end the suffering/torture?

Abortion is legal, make assisted suicide legal.

I would have no problem with that.

Has to be some clear cut regulations about it. Supervision, multiple doctors, terminal illness and pain, and probably more. But if that can be figured out and agreed upon fine by me.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

I think we should be able to kill whoever we want.
Live and Let Die I say.
America would be a much better place if we were allowed to pull the "weeds" of society.

Great idea, give everybody a six shooter and holster again and let things work out for themselves.

I feel abortion is murder and should thus be illegal but that is a discussion for a different time.
Assisted suicide should remain illegal and "Dr. Death" should be assisted walking his way to an electric chair, not assisted out the door to freedom.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

We have tried that before. It usually lead to heavy debate and locked threads. Which is the direction this thread could also take soon.

And for the record my opinion is pretty much the opposite of yours.

    Yea, I remember.
I have a very strong opinion about abortion and have written many papers on the topic.
There is no way in this world you would be able to convince me that my stance is wrong, and no matter how strong I feel my arguement would be, I'm pretty sure your opinion wouldn't sway either.
The topic has been beat to death in every way and I find it a waste of time to debate it in relaxed social situations these days.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

I feel that way too, but if we are going to allow killing a baby we might as well go all the way an allow assisted sucide and euthanasia.
If you allow one you need to allow the other.
Since abortion was legal when Dr. Death helped kill the sick people he shouln't have gone to jail.
    I see no difference.
