October 4th and 5th.
I really wish I would have been planning ahead.
Twins final game in the dome on Sunday the 4th of October at 1:10
Viking vs Pack game on MNF on the 5th of October.
Questions:
1) Are you going to one or both of the games?
2) What is your most memorable moment in the HHH Metrodome?
1) No I am not going to either game and I am kicking myself in the butt.
That would have been a great weekend.
2a) I will have to list a couple.
The first moment is the first time I went into the dome.
I was a wide eyed kid.
It was for a baseball game against the Mariners.
I remember watching Gary Ward in center field.
I was sad to see him get replaced in the next couple of years by some guy named Kirby Puckett.
But oh well, it all worked out.
The reason why this was a memorable moment wasn't the game, we got kicked.
It was newness of the dome and the coolness of being there in what seemed like the state of the art baseball stadium to a young kid.
Domes were all the rage in the early 80s.
2b) Another favorite moment was being there for a packed house for Kirby's farewell.
It was an emotional night.
We were sitting in the outfield not to far away from the gold seat where Kirby hit his home run in the World Series to keep the dream of winning alive.
It was a tribute for the ages.
It was a genuine heartfelt tribute from the Twins fans to one of their greatest players ever.
It was sad that his career ended too soon but yet joyous to celebrate what he did accomplish.
2c.) Have to throw in a Viking dome even also...... It had to be Randy's first regular season game he played in the dome.
We were twenty rows up from is his first TD reception.
We watched the freak be unleashed on the NFL.
Wicked cool!
I'm not going to either game.
My most memorable event was a few years ago. I went to the AMA motocross event 5 or 6 years ago. HOPEFULLY they bring that back to the dome or move it to target field or TCF.
If you really want to add to it, I think that the gophers are hosting Wisconsin at TCF on the 3rd.
So you could do Gophers, Twins, Vikings all in one extended weekend.
(I actually thought about doing this, unfortunately finding a ticket to the Gophers-Wis game is pretty much freaking impossible)

What was your favorite Dome Moment?
Man, thats a sports packed weekend for anyone to enjoy.
I'll be arriving the 30th, enjoying my Birthday with Singer on Oct 1st,
but only attending one game out of the 3.
No need to say that game will be the Monday Night Vikings/GB
game

My best dome memory?
I'll never forget it and I cheerish it very much. The night before the game, I went out to dinner with Singer and VikingQueen, and got to meet Shockzilla and his beautiful wife for the first time. Shock introduced me to PopCorn and Chedder Soup, LMAO. Then attended my first Vikings home game with SingerSp and VikingQueen & Caine.
It was against the Bears and we won.
I actually had tears in my eyes when they played the National Antheum.
My greatest sports moment by far, spent with a very dear friend of mine who I'm very happy to say I met here at PPO, SingerSP !
Well I'll be in minnesota that whole week, going to the niner and packer games. Thinkin we will have to hit that twins game up too.
Most memorable moment at the dome was two years back watching AD break the all time rushing record against the chargers. It was amazing listening to everyone chant peterson at the end!

I could be wrong but I thought I remember seeing that.
I am sure there are always tickets to be had, it is just a matter of price.
Not like they would command a huge mark up.
