Re: Dogs Sprayed by a Skunk

The last time that happened to my dog i used a similar mix and it took away the bulk of the smell after a few baths.
It probably took a couple weeks before there wasn't a hint of it.
I thought my lab had a reoccurring condition until I realized it was just my skunk ass from drinking crappy beer.
So, in addition to washing the dogs with the mixture, make sure to buy or make good beer.

Ugh, what a horrible thing to happen. How long does the smell stay around?

I read that it may take 2 weeks in dry conditions and 4 weeks if it is humid.
The humidity reactivates it a bit I guess.

Like Prophet said, the majority of the stink was gone after the first bath.
The garage where I housed the dogs still has a massive smell to it.
I have been leaving it open for hours at a time while I am home.
Luckily it is not attached to the house.

Well be happy you're not in NJ then, I can't remember the last day of comfortable humidity.
