Then a second endoscopic tool was pushed through the mouth and down into the stomach, where it made a small incision in the stomach wall and cut the appendix loose.

Nothing new to me here. Hell, they've had that idea for heart surgery for years & years.

I remember hearing since I was a pup, "The way to a mans heart is thru his stomache."

That's very true, although I have no idea how a doctor could find this guy's heart!
