Thread: Do you think Zygi reads this?

So, I was listening to my favorite radio morning show here in the DC area last week.
The DJ "Elliot" who is a huge hockey fan, had Ted Leonsis the owner of the Washington Capitals on his show.
This was right after they had just signed Alex Ovechkin to a $124 million contract.
Anyway, Ted was talking about the deal and the direction that the Caps were going, blah, blah, blah, but then he mentioned that he frequently visits the Caps fan sites and reads through their message boards, etc.. Not only that, he said (not sure if he was BSing) that he takes a lot of what he reads to heart.

Anyhow, this got me to wondering if Zygmunt frequents this site or other sites related to the Vikings. I remember hearing early in the season, that he was concerned about the fans lack of warmth towards Chilly. How did he gauge this lack of warmth?


Just wondering what you guys think. Do you think Zygi or any Viking players visit PPO?

I doubt that Zygi (or Leonsis) actually reads the fan forums, but I would be surprised if their PR people didn't provide him summaries.
Actually, with the Vikings' PR, maybe I wouldn't be surprised.

I think he might have feelers out, like someone says with the PR staff.

Having met Ted Leonsis - and worked at the same company as him - I know for a fact that he answered his own e-mails.
I sent him one concerning an idea I had for AOLTW purchasing Adelphia Cable Systems once the Rigas boys got in trouble with the law and he responded within a couple days.

Leonsis is a techie, so I'm sure if he says he checks fan forums that he does.
Hell - Mark Cuban posts his personal email on the scoreboard at Mavs games every night and also answers all his own email.

As to Zygi - I don't think there's a chance in hell he reads PPO.
He's a different kind of beast.

Zygi would be stupid not to have someone checking out here.
I mean, at least seom PR intern to check through the forums and try to get an overall sense of how the fan base feels.
I doubt that any of the "Let's get Larry Fitz" posts are really taken to heart, but he could at least have his finger on the pulse... so to say

Why not? this is only the best (at very least best vikings) site on the internet. Made so by some of the excellent insights by many members, and alot of hard work by webby and the mods....... so thanks to those all, and i'm sure somebody in the vike's offices reads this.

I'm sure that every NFL team has people in their front office who pay attention to the pulse of the fans - they'd be stupid not to do so.
But I'm absolutely 100% sure that Ted Leonsis - the owner of the Washington Capitals and Mark Cuban - the owner of the Dallas Mavericks do so.
Both are techies.
I bet Paul Allen reads some Seahawks boards, as well.

But Zygi?
Somehow, I doubt it.
He's a builder, not a computer geek.

Zygi is far too busy of a man to read fan forums.
Like someone else said, maybe he has people that reads them for him and provides him with summaries, but have to remember that the Vikings arnt the only thing Wilf owns :P he doesnt have that kind of time
