I don't care what others think...my collection includes everything from Bach and Beethoven to Metallica and Pantera...and everything in between...country, rap, jazz, musicals, hair bands, (No boy bands though :), hip hop, pop, etc.

I listen to what fits the mood and don't care who is around... :P

I listen to a lot of heavy metal but somebody that I don't tell others I listen to is Prince!

I still think purple rain was written not for a girl.

It was written for the Vikings.

Prince was crying when the Vikings loss another superbowl.

Well, one of my favorite artists is Madonna, and specifically, a couple of songs: "Material Girl" and "Ray of Light".

    Anyone else?
I think everyone is afraid or too embarrassed to post theirs. LOL
I'm usually right out there with things, just take the embarrasment head on.

I listen to danish 80's pop - you won't know the names ' and I usually take loads of crap for it.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

I grew up in the 60's & 70's, so ALL the rock stuff is my generation, but as I got older, Blues took a foothold on my life and I've been there ever since. Buddy Guy, Luther Allison, Albert King and Albert Collins and such. But my guilty pleasure......and this is gonna sting....Barry Manilow's 70's hits! Ok folks, BRING IT ON! I can take it. For some unknown reason, I connect with it! GO figure! ;D

Off the top of my head, Jon Bon Jovi. I think that he has a lot of song writing talent, but he gets a lot of crap being a hair band from the 80's.

Shoot man, I have Bon Jovi's greatest hits in my cd player right now....

As far as your question Shock. If I like a song, or artist, I don't care what my friends say.. I will listen to whatever I want in my own house, or vehicle.. If they don't like it, they know where the door is...

My favorite band of the past is by far Styx.. I love their music.. I also like

    Poison
    Motley Crue
    Def Leppard
    Cinderella
    Skid Row
    Boston
    Journey
    Reo Speedwagon

The list goes on and on and on... You get the point..

Re: Do you have any guilty pleasures, as far as music?

Well I've got a 14-yr old daughter so any music that I have is classed as being embarassing
    ;D
I guess more of my 70's/80's stuff would make her cringe the most such as Toyah, Kraftwerk, Lene Lovich. I know my Mrs hasn't heard of half of the music that I have on vinyl... lol
still its better than a lot of the 70s/80s disco garbage that passes for music in her mind.
But regarding what people think of my musical tastes as the saying goes " am I bothered?"

    ;D

I'm not embarassed by any music I listen to but...

Probably the most "embarassing" bands I like are Coheed and Cambria and Atreyu. Most people seem to hate those bands that I know.. whatever.

    How about Avenged Sevenfold?

    Kidding! Sorta..

I like the first two Coheed cds.
