    Disaster Communications

I forgot all about this. Looks like they cut a bunch out of it.
    ;D

In the event of a terror attack, DoD units will need to be able to communicate with the first-responder personnel they are supporting.

    Thank God!

I'd hate to think your job was to monitor computers & watch for terroristic attacks, threats & disasters during your shift.

With as much as you post on PP.O during work, half the world could be gone before you even know it. You'd be too busy posting responses to articles & posts.

I have this image in my mind of you sitting in your cubicle with sirens & alerts going off, lights flashing every where & you ignoring them while you type, "Have I ever told you, you crack me up my friend".

    :P

LOL, tonight (one exercise is closing down) I am sitting all alone in a room (called a test bay) that is designed to hold 75 or so technicians.

No bells and sirens thats for sure.

Monitoring the performance of the network and associated systems (i.e. Firewalls).
How do I know if they are functioning if I don't test them out every now and then.
