Dirty Radiological Bombs at 7 NFL Stadiums
http://cbs13.com/topstories/local_story_291155105.html
Terrorists have said they will set off seven dirty bombs at NFL stadiums this weekend. The stadiums are in New York, Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, Oakland and Cleveland, where games are scheduled to be held this weekend.
I don't know about bombs, but I do know that the Vikes are going to strike fear into the Seahags this Sunday as Seattle "bombs out.".Kentucky Vikes Fan

That's kind of scary. But it's good to see that the authorities are alert.
I don't believe anything will happen sunday. This is just the asshole strategy of the terrorists to try to get people affraid.
Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Highly unlikely.
Even the auhorities are saying it is most likely a crock.
But better safe than sorry.
I wonder if this will affect the attendance at any of the stadiums.
I would have to admit that I would at least consider skipping a game if this was a home game and the dome was on the list (don't know if I would skip it, but I would definately consider it).Zeus wrote:

The bombs, according to the posting, would be delivered to the stadiums in trucks. All but one of the stadiums -- Atlanta -- are open-air arenas, the posting noted, adding: "Due to the open air, the radiological fallout will destroy those not killed in the initial explosion."
Explosions would be nearly simultaneous, the posting said, with the cities specifically chosen in different time zones.
The posting said that al-Qaida would automatically be blamed for the attacks and predicted, "Later, through al-Jazeera, Osama bin Laden will issue a video message claiming responsibility for what he dubbed 'America's Hiroshima."'Zeus wrote:

Smart move announcing where you are going to attack and how you are going to do it.
:
Not too credible IMO. One has to wonder how they came up with those particular stadiums.
Oakland is obvious since the Raiders bomb there every time they play.

If it does happen, I'm joing the military... period.
I'm not even joking so don't get pissed at me for saying that, I'm completely serious. The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.
