OK, I live here in Fargo and have CableOne.
They are fortunate to be our only cable choice.
I must remember to thank the city for allowing a monopoly to exist.
So anyway, I currently have internet and TV through CableOne.
I am looking for pros/cons of switching to DirectTV.
Anyhelp from anyone?
I have no choice in the matter as I reside in Virginia, so Direct TV is the only show in town.
However I am very happy with direct tv.
DirecTv is probably the best service you can get in the United States. I don't know too much about there satelite internet, I'm sure the cable is better. Sometimes a storm can knock out the satelite signal but its rare. If you do switch to DirecTv you certainly won't be disapointed but there internet could be more expensive.
I have my internet through comcast, you can usually just get internet with one company and tv with another.
If you get DirecTv you will not be dissapointed... I love the NFL sunday Ticket (even if you get Viking Games) MLB ticket, NBA, NHL, Big Ten network etc. etc... I love it :)
I watch most my programming free re brodcast on the internet.
I just bought a very good indoor digital antenna and pick up a fair amount of channels with the big four ABC/FOX/CBS/NBC in good looking high def.
Plus I get a different ABC affiliate, the CW, PBS(high def and other), and a couple other random channels.
A lot of programming gets re broadcast on the internet now, and I really wanted was the high def on the networks for sports.
Just a thought
As for Direct TV vs Cable?
Direct TV hands down.

Oh, let's not forget, I couldn't get the NFL channel through cable either. So no Thursday night games for me last year.
DTV by far.
I have had it for about 7 years now and I love it.
The cable here would go out all the time and their service was crapola.
DTV had more channels, better picture quality, and their customer service is top notch.
I will never go back to cable.
Plus, I do get the Sunday ticket as well.
I also have direct TV, and would have it no other way.....Simply the best, espeicaly if your a football fan.....PERIOD
I've had cable. dish network, and Direct and I would only have Direct.
