You cant get any NFL games by pay per view on Dish.Direct does have NCAA football ppv and its $21.00 per game.

I had Dish for a while and prefer it over Direct...but I have had Direct for years just for the Sunday Ticket.

We had directv for a year or so and loved it. Had an issue with an owned HD DVR receiver. Now, we are forced to have Charter, which we HATE. I had the mlb and nhl packages, because while my teams are mn. teams, i get early, late and day off games. With directv i could make payments for NHL Center Ice, i'd have to pay in full for it on charter.

Re: Direct TV or Dish network?

I have only had DirecTV, going on 10 years.
They have become a little more brazen every year.
They will be a cocky as cable in 5 years.
    LOL!

It really depends on what you want to watch.

Take a look at what you watch for channels now and what you expect to watch then compare their base packages.
Like I have said, I haven't had Dish, but when I have tried to compare, I always found DirecTV to have more sports programming, that tipped the scale for me.
I only watch a handful of other channels.

    Last tidbit:
    Non HD NFL Ticket =

    299.00
    HD NFL Ticket = Superfan = 399.00

The Superfan allowed me to watch all the games from my computer when I was out of town a few weekends ago.
It was a feature that I enjoyed using.
I think the Redzone Channel is only with the Superfan package.

    Good Luck!

    https://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/conte...s/nfl_superfan

You have to down load the app.
You have to log in to your DirecTV acnt.
Down load it and it will put an icon on your desktop.

Re: Direct TV or Dish network?

Thanks alot for the responses, I am going with DTV.
I figured if dish could pay-per then the cable co's would be doing it also.
I should have said I am in virginia and always have to watch the skins on our cable.
The money doesnt bother me since it costs marrdro's bro and me about 100 bucks a week to watch the Viks(money well spent).
Another bud was telling me with dish he can pay 5 bucks and they will give him fox north I think but I figured I would get some more input and thanks again

    I got it!
    DTV for me.
