Thread: Delmon Young Bat Throwing

anybody see the footage on espn? young just chucked his bat at the umpire after a called 3rd strike. suspended indefinately. disgusting behavior by another young athlete with no discipline. your thoughts.

Yeah i seem that too. My first thought was "Well something like this is gonna happen sooner or later" but then you think about it and he really could have injured the umpire if it hit in the face. If that would have happened i bet you never see him in baseball again. But i think he should be suspended for the year and then be on a sort of probation when he comes back like get longer suspentions than other players would get for the same offense.

Yeah, I saw that mess. WTF?? I never understand these players today, or even players from 20 years ago. It is a freaking game, folks..relax.

I coach Little League, and it never fails; I get some kid acting just like this every year. Thank God I never had a kid throw a bat at the Ump or at me, for that matter. But we need to relax a bit.

a year suspension + criminal charges sounds about right to me !

When you are huge prospect, why in the world would anyone do that? It least the ump didn't get hit in the head.
