Re: For Del, and others who like to fish...

For that one we were trolling, for my dad's we spotted a few marlin swimming around and stopped the boat and threw out a line. We weren't using live bait, it was some kind of lure. http://rancholeonero.com/index.html we used this hotel/fishing resort. I would highly recomend it for hardcore fishers, and people that just want to relax. No tv. Basically you wake up preitty early, eat the breakfast they make, go out fishing for about 5 hours. Eat lunch on the boat, come back. Chill on the beach or take a nap. Eat dinner, go to sleep, and DO IT AGAIN. All in all my dad got a marlin, I got one, my bro got 2 dorado, my dad got 3 dorado, and I got 3 dorado. My mom only went out once...she gets headaches...(gets bored.)hahaha. In their gallaries they got a pic of us with some dorado we caught on the second day i believe. Oh and im the youngest one, the one in the green volcom sweater.

Those fish remind me of a fish I was catching in Florida...a sheep head...

Sounds like the offspring of an ewe and a Packer fan!!!

Sheepshead are an ugly fish. They look like across between a carp, a crappie and are a pinkish gray.

An old timer once told me if you cut the black strip out of the meat that they are good to it. I would rather eat a fish that you don't have to cut the black strip out of.

    Ahhh...fishing opener, next Sunday.

And check out where I live, Central Minnesota. Nothing but lakes baby!

I can't believe it's already that time, I don't have my boat ready. The cover is still sagging with water and the motor I store in the house (winter). It's just a 16' Lund, but it gets me on most lakes.

I notice posts from other states, does fishing opener start the same as ours? Or how does it work? Maybe you don't even have an offseason, I really don't know.
