A Day in the Life of....a PACS Administrator
I know I have mentioned that I am a PACS Administrator, and that most people have no idea what a PACS Administrator is.
So here is a little video of a typical day in the life of a PACS Administrator.
I personally love the guy playing a radiologist in this.

Re: A Day in the Life of....a PACS Administrator
We finally got PACS last November. Pretty cool. All the techniques I have in my head are out the window now though. Really surprised at how much we had to increase exposure. Digital Radiography system we have needs it. Can't blame that on PACS. I have yet to have to reset my password, what is that about?

Technologists, like everyone else, take shortcuts and if someone is logged into a station they will just use that persons log in to process their work.
When they come in and noone else is logged in they find they can't remember their password so they hunt down the PACS Administrator to reset their password.
It is a security issue, and training.
You have to convince them that any mistakes made under their login is attributed to them, then they start loggin out as required.
