    Davinci Code

Well I saw Davinci Code earlier today. I gotta say it was a great movie. It is very long and bye now you should expect that from Ron Howard. Its more of a "thinking" movie so to say. There is action and suspense. But the whole movie really revolves around the mystery. I know this film is being considered sac religous and controversial. But all in all its just a really good story and a really good film.Tom Hanks gives a GREAT performance as expected.

I wouldnt recommend anyone bring thier family (younger) to this. Its deff a dark adult film. Some graphic sceens.

Over all its a great movie worth checking out.

    I'd give it a 9 outta 10.

Theres NOTHING greater then a Florida Gator!

I want to see this film, not because I think it will be any good, but any movie that features this line has gotta be the most exciting moment in action-adventure movie history:

Is Tom Hanks' character a member of the library? Because if he isn't, then he's going to have to register to become a member and bring 2 forms of ID, then get a card and wait while it's laminated.. And ONLY THEN can he go to the Reference Section..

    Now THAT'S a movie!

    Re: Davinci Code

I read the book long ago, and have been awaiting the release of this film. I went this evening and was thuroughly satisfied. Personally I think that the book provides a much richer experience than the film, but the film is excellent. I would also have to agree that this is probably not the best film for the youngsters to go to, but is a must see for everybody else.

As far as the controversy goes I can only comment as will follow. I see those who have a problem with the book, and now the film, as having read [or viewed] the first 3/4 of the book [or film] and quitting. (This is the point at which I myself felt very jarred by what was going on. Really made me stop and analyze my faith.) But having quit [or left] they fail to read [or view] the conclusion of the work, in which everything that is contravertial is dealt with in a very mature and respectful manner. I just think they are blinded by their own feelings and do not acknowledge the conclusion of the work.

I must say that the book [and now the film] has done nothing more than made me take a look at what I believe in, and has lead me to having a stronger faith than I had before crossing it. And just for a reference I am a Christian-Lutheran.
