    Dangerous Roads

I've been on this road before, there is one in Ecuador that rivals this road.
Fun stuff, I prefer to ride on top of the bus so I can bail if it goes off the cliff. Strange to look over the edge and see 'bus corpses' at the bottom of the ravine.
    Oops.

These pictures are scary, but this one especially is a recipe for disaster.

    Re: Dangerous Roads

I can't see the pics (damn firewall), however, the road for me was while I was stationed at Rota Spain.
Wild woman and I lived in a little town called Chipiona and there was a death trap of a road between the base and that down that was nasty.

One lane (tar) road that no one drove slow on.
Meet a bus and a local farmer on his moped at the same time and you were definately ditch bound or hitting someone.

    Re: Dangerous Roads

I would never drive on these roads but they would be fun to walk up.

Reminds me of Turkey, going up and down the mountain passes.
Two lanes, and you normally run into (sometimes literally) a 4 mile an hour truck trying to pass a 3 mile an hour truck and you have no where to go!

    Re: Dangerous Roads

    Wow.
To make it worse, it looks like the roads are wet from the clouds/rain too.
I would assume that in a tropical area, they are likely wet all the time...

    Re: Dangerous Roads

When I lived with the hillbillies, I lived at the end of 3 mile one lane road and nobdy drove slow on it.
There were several times I almost hit a tree or drove into the creek to avoid a head on
