Ummm...hello. The bullet went up, henceforth. Law of physics. People get killed every year from firing guns in to the shy. Where does the bullet go? Back down again. And with the velocity it's shot, that's coming down very fast on the way down.

BUT, if the gun was not pointed EXACTLY straight up that bullet would not come down in the same area!
