They're gonna run away with the AL East. and win the World Series for that matter.

The Yankees' projected lineup in 2006:
    CF Johnny Damon

    RF Gary Sheffield
    3B Alex Rodriguez
    1B Jason Giambi
    LF Hideki Matsui

The offense is nearly identical to last year except for Damon now, which is not that huge of an improvement, he is highly overrated anyways ... not that high of an OPS or OB% and he has an extremely weak arm for center field. I think they will obviously make the playoffs, but penciling anyone in to beath that rotation in Southside Chicago may be premature.

The yankees have crappy jiggly butt pitching. You cannot win a world series with crappy pitching and a outfield of superstars. The yankees are sucha pathetic franchise, they just buy high end free agents. Learn how to develope a player and talk to me yankees. If you have pitching , hitting and defense, well then thats a differnt story...but they have 2 outta the 3 and quite frankly thier are alot of teams out there i'd take over the yanks to win it all.
Developed by the Yankees in the mid-1990s: Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, Jorge Posada, Andy Pettitte

    Result: 4 World Series titles

Where did Bahston get their star players?

    Manny - Cleveland
    Ortiz - Minnesota
    Schilling - Arizona
    Damon - Oakland/KC

    Result: 1 World Series title

The Yankees hinted at Pedro and they took Johnny. Was Ortiz a High priced Free agent? Actually no, he wasnt at all.He flurished in Boston. Same with Damon, Both players that developed in Boston and really didnt have good careers before.

Ya we got manny, what team every couple years dosnt go after a big name free agent? But the yankees....well thier dirty asses do it every single year. I'll fight the whole team, me vs them, bring it.

Re: Cry me a river, Red SUX fans!!!

Every off season is the same. The Wankees pick and choose the supposedly best of the crop and try and make a team out of a bunch of egotistical players. So long as they keep this up they will keep running into a real TEAM and get their butts handed to them and I'll be their laughing my butt off every season!

    Thanks Josdin
