Could Childress be leaving?
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-chiefs-peterson&prov=ap&type=lgns
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP)—Carl Peterson made football in Kansas City fun again.
But 20 years later, he’s out as president, CEO and general manager after a gut-wrenching 22-21 loss to San Diego dropped the Chiefs to 2-12 this season and 2-21 since mid-October of 2007.
After we win the SB this year ( Yes, this is the purely positive UffDa here) Childress will either have to be locked up long term with the Purple or he may leave for greener pastures. The GM/Head coach job at KC ( he could make the personnel decisions, coach the team and call the plays) could be intriguing to him considering that they now have the QB he should have kept, plenty of young talent, and the outdoor stadium that real men like Childress long to coach in.
This new single person approach would be called the "Steeple of Superiority" and contain all of the benefits it's name eludes to and it surpasses the TOA's ability to quickly acquire and develop talent into a proven winner.
We best enjoy him while we can boys and girls.

Cart.
When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

Steeple of superiority would be cool. I like the moniker 'Turgid Tyrant' to go along with that.
I'm not sure he would want to leave though.
He'd have to work his butt off down there.
Here he doesn't do much of anything.Right Marrdro? What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. Its the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

Although I like how our good friend Uffda wove this together, I am not sure the Chiller would want to be both GM and HC.
Most, if not all of those cats have eventually failed in thier endevours to be the head moffo.
Just to damn much to do in each area to be able to do them both effectively. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Could Childress be leaving?
Isn't he already under contract for 5 years here already?

Childress is here to stay. He has a better record than last year and we should make the playoffs.
