    Cop Writes himself ticket

    http://enews.earthlink.net/article/str?guid=20070221/45dbd1d0_3421_1334520070221-758222075

I think this is kinda funny.
Nice to know that some cops don't let themselves get away with things.

Fact is, I bet he was only covering his A$$.......

School bus drivers are trained to wright down the plates of cars that pass them while they are pulled over with there lights flaxhing for a pick-up or drop-off..

He probably was driving an unmarked, public supplied, vehical for his use...I would believe all Police Chiefs get in their contract, a vehical and gas included for work and personal use.

So he drives by a bus with it's lights on, realizes, oh dam, I'm in an unmarked car (which really shouldn't matter anyways)
if this gets back to me, could make a big stink around town......

I'll just wright myself a ticket and get points added....But my job will be safe...

Sounds like thats something more like it to me..

Be careful what you say, FVB!
We have well-respected members here that are part of the police community...and they deserve our respect...regardless of what some of their colleagues might do!

Besides, I am willing to bet that there are crooked people doing what YOU do for a living...heck, I know that there are plenty of crooked people doing what I do for a living!

"Police officers do good things everyday, and that doesn't get reported," said Knoebel, who has been chief for 20 years in this town northwest of Milwaukee. "All you hear about in the news is when a police officer is in trouble."
You ARE in trouble dumb dumb, that's why you're getting a ticket!! :

I would have never believed there are crooked lawyers....

But back to what Cajun said,,,,,,Yes there are some mighty fine cops out there, who work hard for us every day....Then of course, you got the bad apples.....But thats in every trade, everywhere in the world.

    Re: Cop Writes himself ticket

Someone probably witnessed him doing it so he felt guilty. One of the cops in my town pulled over a guy for running a stop sign and the guy told the cop why should i stop, I saw you run 2 stop signs yesterday.
    He let the guy go.

    <cough> <cough> <bullsh!t> ;D

Sorry WVV, but I couldnt' let that one go!
The story itself reeks of urban legend.
Some cop pulled over some guy...
    lol

Plus often times the general public sees a cop do something and then make a judgment without knowing all of the details.
Ever see a cop flip his lights on to go through a red light, then turn them off as soon as he is through?
I used to do it all the time... when responding silently to something like a domestic or robbery.
Lights and sirens can alert the suspects to the fact that the cops are on the way.

And finally, if someone pulls an attitude with a cop like that, 99 times out of 100 the cop is going to give them the ticket just for being a jackass.

I was just jammin to my tunskey's dude. I know there are good cops out there, but some are just power hungry. I remember one time when I was like 17 w/ some friends we were playing hey mister at a gas station and we asked this guy who said yeah-went and bought us our beer, then showed us his badge and just told us we shouldn't be doing this. I almost pissed myself at first, then I couldn't stop laughing when we drove away.
