    you take this incorrectly.

lets put it this way, someone creates a thread congradulating someone one their 20 thousandth posts, it gets a few pages. Nobody comments on this, because quite frankly not many people care about how many posts have been made in history here.
Very few get a few pages. Most are lucky to get a few posts.

Again, this is nothing more than a "Stature" thing that people use to piss on "Newbies" with if they say something that they don't like.

Do away with the Rank and File, I'm Senior to You mentality I say.
Where has that happened? Link, please.
You above all know I am not gonna waste my time searching for those posts my friend so why even ask.

There are a few out there though.

On a side note, don't try to say that you don't think your post count is stature thing either. I remember how you got when I passed you. :P LOL
Ahhhh, yes, the old Marrdro standby: Make outlandish statement and then refuse to show proof. Rock solid.

That kind-of harassment has, IMHO, almost disappeared on PPO. Especially since certain long-time members who lorded their stature over others have disappeared.

What I see is that new members are welcomed and encouraged to post. I haven't read a "Shut up, NewB!" post (outside of smackdowns of obvious trolls) in years.
"almost disappeared on PPO" is a correct statement.
Again - show me someplace that it has happened. (You won't, but it did, even though you can't find it, but you remember it, and the spreadsheet says it is so, so it must be, even though you can't recall the member, but you're sure it did, probably it was Favre's fault.)

    =Z=

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Without post counts the Hall of Fame thread would be just another place to view internet porn.

Good ole Z, trying to get me to do something that I won't. As much time as you have put into this "Non Football" discussion, I bet you will be the one who beeeeyyyyatches the loudest when Webby does away with post counts...... B)

This site is far from being like those other sites but there is really no need to have post counts.

What good do they ultimately server? Webby can still track them and use them for marketing. No need to make them visible to anyone else.

Again, they serve no purpose other than as a means to convey some sort of stature on the site.

then why track stats in football games?
What good does publically showing how many passing yards Manning has? The NFL could still view them for their own pleasure and needs, no need to make them visible to anyone else.

Again, it serves no purpose other than as a means to convey some sort of stature in the league.

Exactly. All we need is a yutz, a keyboard and a spreadsheet. Nothing more is needed.

I, for one, do not want stature or status to be decided by some middle-aged fisherman from the backwoods of Virginia.

Hey, I work in a "Windows" environment that allows me to multitask like a summmmmbeeeeyatch.

Right now....Solar winds, Visio, PPT and 2 spreadsheets are up and running with Outlook, PPO and 2 other web sites getting monitored.
