I am neither, I am programmer, but if I had to choose between the two I would go for network admin, it's more fun and challenging I think.Quote:
I'm looking into starting a new major in computer support tech or network systems admin this Jan and need to know more about it from someone who does it.
Were you very tech savvy before you took the classes?
Was it hard to find a job after you got the degree?
Whats a normal day like?
Did you have to find a job in the cities (minneapolis/st paul if you live in MN)?
Do you overall enjoy it?
I would agree with VikingTurf - Network Admin is the way to go. I think the job outlook is better in that direction - more demand.
Schedule this semester:

Fundamentals of Networking (3)
Relational Database (3)*
Customer Service (1)
Web Server Administration (3)*
Command Line and Registry (3)*
Anyone know what the three (*) classes are going to be like?
