Got into VA Tech and South Dakota State, for engineering, any suggestions/reasons one is better than the other? Anyone go to either?

Very good engineering school, that's for sure. Kinda in the middle of nowhere, tho.

Re: The College Question
If you like college football, you would get a better ROI if you went to VA Tech.

Re: The College Question
I received my Master's degree from SDSU this past summer and it is a good school but the wind blows from every direction out there. They are D-IAA in football and D-IA in all other sports not much to do in Brookings but Sioux Falls (1 hour drive south) is a fun town and besides you can catch all the Viking games on TV at SDSU. If you want to know more about SDSU feel free to pm me.

Re: The College Question
I would suggest NDSU if your are interested in this field. The institution has the highest placement percentage, and not to mention the highest salary for fisrt year workers. Plus the Thundering Herd are one of the hottest Div. 1-AA football programs in the nation. They have only been in the division for 3 years and have finished ranked in the top 20 the last two years, and are going to have their 5 year probationary period waved. And they will be beating up on the Eslingerless Gophers this coming season.

Re: The College Question
VA is much more competitive than SDSU so I think that would give you an advantage when searching for a job.
I Love Kerry Collins (and John Rocker).
