there are about a million threads about the draft and free agency prospects, all of which are in the nfl and viking forums. you can only talk about the draft for so long. what else are we supposed to talk about- what kind of toilet paper viking players use? it was put in the clubhouse for a reason because it is not football related."MensaTice" wrote:

Re: Chicken Gizzards
I'm not a liver fan at all but I can't remember having it fried.
I'm sure I'd like it but I just can't remember trying it.

FYI -- The Gizzard is the muscle that grinds up the feed and grit a bird eats.

Re: Chicken Gizzards
I like them two ways:
Fried:
Flour
Salt
Pepper
Cayenne
Garlic Powder
Mix an egg or two into a bowl, dip Gizzards, roll in flour mix, deep fry until golden brown.
Eat with Hotsauce and beer during a game.
Dip
Boil gizzards.
Once they cool, grind them up.
Mix them with Mayonaise, diced pickles/onions, salt, pepper to taste and serve on ritz crackers.
;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Chicken Gizzards
I'll eat gizzards any way you serve 'em, but I have to say that I like them best for flavoring brown sauces. Mmmm...
I will also eat basically any other "little bits" off of animals. I am very much an advocate of eating "head to tail." My absolute favorite though, are veal sweetbreads (thymus glands).
