    Re: CFL 2009

Jarrett Payton actually played for Montreal a few years ago and rushed for 1,000 yards.

BTW, Todd Lowber was injured in that pre-season game and was taken off on a stretcher. He is apparently all right (no severe injury), but is out indefinitely. It was unfortunate because it basically killed whatever momentum Toronto had (they were down 27-24 at the time). Edwards was also returning kickoffs and punts and had some good returns.

The Argo's played the Tigercats last night and Dovonte Edwards had 2 tackles and a sack and he returned a kick for 20 yards plus a punt return for 25..

So he is doing pretty good and i am glad to see him do well..

Edwards made the team, although I do not think he'll start, but will likely be our KR/PR here in Toronto. The Argos start their season in Hamilton on Wednesday night, which I am going down for. The Toronto-Hamilton rivalry is the equivalent of Green Bay-Minnesota, the teams hate each other.

I hope he is going to get some playing time outside of special teams, he is a good player, i will have to see if i can find a stream for the game on justin.tv or something.. I want to watch him play again..

Bombers and Riders or Calgary and Edmonton also fit that bill

I was surprised that Ronyell Whitaker didn't make the Bombers.
He looked pretty decent in the pre-season.
Although with the way our corners played on Thursday v. the Eskimos, he might be getting a call.

BTW, I'm a lifelong Bomber fan.
I anticipate hate and derision from other CFL fans soon.
