CFL 2009

The CFL is about to start, actually the first pre-season games is this Wednesday, i will follow this year because of one reason - Dovonte signed with the Argo's..

I scanned the rosters on Wiki,(i don't know if they are 100% accurate) i came up with some noteables.

Hamilton:
Cameron Siskowic
Kenton Keith
Johnnie Morant
Khari Long

Winnipeg:
Adarius Bowman
Justin Surrency
Ronyell Whitaker

Toronto:
Todd Lowber
Reggie McNeal
Jerome Mathis
Dovonte Edwards!!
Will Poole
Justin Medlock

Montreal:
Adrian McPhearson
Chris Leak

BC:
None

Calgary:
Barrick Nealy
Drew Tate

Edmonton:
Jared Zabransky
Ciatrick Fason
Arkee Whitlock
Maurice Mann

Saskatchewan:
None

Lots of former Vikings there and proberly some more i didnt recognize.

From the looks of it, Toronte also looks like a good team this year,(i have no idea what i am talking about), they have the most notables..

Some CFL experts here who can put a finger on who is favourite to take down the Grey Cup this year?..

Re: CFL 2009

I am surprised by this topic. No one even knows what the CFL in america.

There are tons of former vikings in the CFL. I am sure if I went over the rosters I could make up a whole team of former NFL players. Last year, Kelly Campbell played for the eskimos.
I cheer for the Eskimos so I think they will be winning the Grey Cup this year. They have dones tons of retooling in the off season and look like a pretty damn good team. We have the best RB in the league and likely the best QB as well.
We're bringing purple back.

Which one will TJack play for? ;D ;D ;D

I have watched only bits and pieces of it. over the years.

I wonder if the NFL will eventually adopt a handful of teams into the league?

I don't think Canadian teams is far away from the NFL, but the CFL is just way below in talent - i think a team would have to move to Canada, not NFL adopting.

Walter Payton’s Son Scoring Touchdowns In CFL

Posted by Aaron Wilson on June 21, 2009, 7:16 p.m. EDT

Ten years after NFL legend Walter Payton’s death, his son is carrying on the proud family name in the Canadian Football League.

Running back Jarrett Payton, Walter Payton’s son, was signed by the Toronto Argonauts earlier this month, rushing for a touchdown and catching a pass during a loss to the Montreal Alouettes to launch the preseason last week.
