    Celebration

    I completed a sucessful defense of my Master's degree this afternoon. I am going out later to celebrate with some barley pop.

    Congrats DNG!!! Don't drink too much though...my master's thesis was "Why People Who Drink Too Much Get Headaches The Next Day"...research has proven it to be so! Just Kidding! Get Wasted!!!

    BTW, degree has two e's on the end...not three, Master! :lol:

    I won't get too wasted tonight because I have to drive to WI tomorrow because we are tubing down the Apple River this weekend and I will for sure have a headache on Sat and Sun morning.

    When you write a master's thesis (a really long report on your area of expertise) you have to go in front of a panel of experts (usually from the University or institution you're attending) and answer questions about it and "defend" your stance and the information you gathered. It's the final stage in a very long, demanding process to get your master's degree. My sister just defended her honors college thesis at her college, that was a lot of work! So I can't imagine a master's thesis!

    Thats awesome! Congrats bud! That takes a lot of work, you deserve the celebration.
