    It works great. I've seen me do it.

    But have fun sawing away with that teeny wimpy blade that constantly keeps bending. And while your still carving on yours, others who use a jig saw will already be drinking beer & getting laid.

    That kinda looks like a jigsaw to me...if you used a skilsaw on a pumpkin you might be looking for fingers
