CarGo transforming pickup/compact hybrid rolls out into the urban future

Once again, small is the design for trucks.
Maybe this the salvation for GMC (Government Motor Consignment).
I doubt it, that emblem on the front and on the hubs looks suspicously like a Scion.

You may not see something like the CarGo zipping along on a transcontinental delivery but, in cities such as New York and Tokyo — the latter of which is already teeming with compact industrial vehicles — vehicles similar to the CarGo could redefine how we deliver food, newspapers, products and more

What is the point of having the box part of the "pickup" fold upwards?

I guess I could see it acting as a dumper but not sure that would even work as it appears like the entire wheels move closer together when upright, and farther apart when down.

Pretty crazy. Not sure what kinda of purpose it would have, might make it easier to park, I suppose.

If you follow the link you will see that when the box is upright it can be fitted with shelves and a roll top door for carring things like pizza, newspapers, parcels, flowers, etc..
An easily parked delivery van, which can convert to a pick-up if a large load is required.

It's a great concept but I seriously question the quantity of load it can haul.

Looks like a semi truck would own the balls off that thing.
    We're bringing purple back.
