Buying Soil
My girlfriend and I are looking to buy some soil to put around our house to raise a portion of the lawn that slants towards the house.
We are planning on building that part up and covering the soil with a tarp then some rocks.
Does anyone know a good place to get soil or have it delivered?
Or approximate pricing?
We don't need good soil obviously, because no grass or plants will be growing in it.
Thank You!!

Does anyone have any advice at all?

Re: Buying Soil
can't really help you since I don't know where you live, but look in the yellow pages for landscaping places, or places that would sell gravel.
Usually you can buy soil too, and ask if they deliver.

Re: Buying Soil
I'm going to assume you live where I do, on Mars. Soil is free everywhere on our planet. I would just take some near where you live rather than traveling out of your way unless you are picky about the shade of red you want then you may have to check around.

Re: Buying Soil
Dirt is not dirt.
If you are not going to plant anything you want to get soil without organic matter in it so it won't decompose and settle.
Depends on where you are regarding where to buy it.
I suggest using the suggestion of calling a contractor and asking where the best suppliers are with the best rates based on what you are using it for.Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please. Mark Twain
