Budgetless Minnesota partially shuts down
What is going on in my former great state?
ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota's government shut down Friday for the first time in state history after lawmakers failed to pass a temporary spending plan and left 9,000 employees jobless and highway rest stops unattended for the July Fourth weekend.
The shutdown came at midnight after lawmakers failed late Thursday to pass a temporary spending plan to keep the government up and running. The Senate adjourned 20 minutes after Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty said he hoped the two sides could agree on a stopgap measure to keep the state's doors open for 10 more days.300

Your state government is shut down?! That can't be good. I hope they get everything worked out get the Vikes a stadium. If they keep all this stupid stuff out they're going to lose the team.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

Re: Budgetless Minnesota partially shuts down
This really urks me. A lot of people are probably thinking that it is no big deal. I rather point out that these A$$wipes are getting paid to operate our government and keep it running in a manner that the public wishes. These dumbf#$%S cant even keep it open. Give me a break! It must be the fat paychecks and kickbacks that these inbreds are pocketing that make them think it ok for them to CLOSE DOWN GOVERNMENT FACILITIES!!!!!
Is this not one of the most embarrasing moments in state history?

Yeah, my little brother couldn't take his driver's test the other day because they shut down a few hours before he was scheduled to take it!

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

Re: Budgetless Minnesota partially shuts down
I live in Pa. and we're about a week from doing the same thing. They're in their 4th or 5th day of the new fiscal year with no budget. I'm thinking we'll be experiencing the same thing you guys in Minnesota are very soon.
