    Re: Buddy Lists Online

Ok, I have a ton of "buddies".

Now, some are online. I go and and none of them are there?

    How does this work?

Under online I show 4, but none in the thing I just mentioned.

I am new to this also, any advice would be helpful.

    Thanks.

They have to have their messenger open too...so it is voluntary when they are open to chatting and not.

WBL and Prophet are the only ones who keep it on! If nobody turns it on there is no use in having it!
Dang I wish it worked with Firefox! Now it doesn't pop up at all with IE, and the pop-up thing is on. It worked before! Uugggg!

...and WBL and I can't stand talking to each other. lol. One of the reasons I was skeptical about using it is because none of us want someone sending a message every two seconds. The beauty of it is that you can leave it off if you don't want to receive IMs or turn it on if you don't mind receiving them. If you have a jerk bothering you (e.g., me), you can just block them and never worry about them again. Nice feature.

I have temporarily disabled the feature until some code cleanup is done...it is awful "heavy" and slowing a few pages down.

You can still add buddies, etc like normal. I will re-enable the messenger part very soon.

Just remeber, the order you add buddies is like the order of your speed dail..ala Seinfeld.
