Mike Grant's (son of Bud Grant) football team from Eden Prairie is undefeated and ranked number 1 in the state.

This is from an article in the Pioneer Press.

• Coach Mike Grant, whose No. 1-ranked Eden Prairie High School football team is 7-0, takes a 102-5 record over the past eight seasons into Wednesday night's game against Bloomington Jefferson (7-0) at Bloomington Stadium, where Grant played high school football at Lincoln.

Grant, 47, son of former Vikings coach Bud, was asked about his coaching aspirations.

"To coach my sons," he said.

Son Ryan is quarterback for Eden Prairie's 7-0 freshman team. Grant's other son, Taylor, is a two-way lineman for the Eden Prairie seventh-grade team that played Monday night for the city championship.

Grant has coached Eden Prairie to four large-school state championships the past eight years.

Asked if he has college coaching aspirations, he said, "If the right job comes along, then I'm interested."

Maybe the Gophers when Mason leaves (that could be awhile if they keep losing the big games). If he would win the Rose Bowl some year, or the National Championship he is gone.
