Broken PSP Screen
Broken PSP Screen?
All of a sudden I was playing my PSP at school that is. I put it in 2 safecases after I was done playing. All of a sudden a couple hours later I turned it on again. The screen was damaged which is quite common in some cases. Luckily I bought a warranty from Bestbuy good for 2 years. So hopefully they will replace mine that is. However I don't know if they will because I have heard stories of where they don't honor the warranty and say the PSP's damaged by yourself. Therefore their not responsible. Then I called Bestbuy and asked them and they said that if the screen looks like ink was spilled inside the psp they will not replace it. However if it is fuzzy and for some reason malfunctional they will.
Here are some pictures of it to see for yourself
By the way the screen inside was damaged

Re: Broken PSP Screen
basicially what theyre saying is they wont cover it if you or something physically broke it, wheter you dropped it, or something got jammed into the screen, etc.
if something inside rattled loose and the picures all fuzzy they should replace it.
btw your picture links aren't working, put the url inside
[ img] url goes here [ /img]
(get rid of the space between the [ and img)

Re: Broken PSP Screen
Here they are I see what you mean. If not I could always buy a new screen but then I would have to get someone to put it together to make it work.

Their is no dents what so ever on the surface of the screen at all. It's just the internal screen.

Re: Broken PSP Screen
you, my friend have the classic case of "i threw my psp in my bag next to my pencils and binder, the bag got squished and the rings on the binder cracked the screen"
they may not cover that

Re: Broken PSP Screen
No way I'm not really a fan of their games. However I wouldn't be surprised if the DS was less fragile. I have a number of friends who mention that they have had the same problem. I guess they can only spend so much on the screen to make a good portable game system like the psp.

The systems folds in half protecting BOTH screens.
I personally wanted a PSP but the wife wanted a DS, and given the fact that I was at Best buy buying a new PC for myself, I let her have her way.
The DS does have a lot of cool games that incorporate the touch screen.
It's kind of similar to the Wii in a way.
They kind of change the way we are used to gaming.

Re: Broken PSP Screen
No I actually did carry it in my backpack but it was in 2 cases. A leather one and a plastic screen protector. I've also heard where some of the PSPs have dead pixels.
