    That's sad to hear.

Kirby was a player from a dieing breed. A player who wanted to stay with his team & retire there, despite being offered more money to play somewhere else.

Those types of players are now few & far in between.
Ain't that the truth... Hrbek was the same way... Brad Radke is about the only guy left like that on our team...
Torii Hunter has already said he wants to retire as a twin in minnesota as well

As a baseball fan in general I am sad to hear this news. Now while my heart belongs to the Atalnta Braves, I just want to say to all Twins fans, and Kirby Puckett fans, I am sorry to hear this news. I hope everything goes well for him and that he pulls through this ordeal. God Bless Kirby Puckett, and his entire family.

Re: Breaking News: Puckett has stroke in Arizona

Not getting much from official channels about his condition, the are very tight lipped which is not a good sign. Mark Roseen has been passing along info that he is getting from the players that have went down to Arizona, to be by with Kirby! What he has said does not sound good, the impression I am getting from his statements is that Roseen feels that Kirby is not going to make it, but he doesn't want to say it!

Hope I am wrong, as Kirby was a great player and icon! He may have had some problems the last few years, but that is not the Kirby I remember!

My thoughts and prayers are with Kirby and I hope that he is able to pull through this!!

Man, that's too bad. I know that strokes can really do a number on you. Hopefully Kirby is strong enough to be able to pull through this. I know my prayers will be with him and his family through this time.
