    Re: The boxing thread

Here´s the fight ,Sky Sports broadcast and credits to upper

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5RO1HF7M

    Spoilers:

Pacquiao and his great left hand
was too much for the puertorican,Cotto coulnd´t handle the speed of Manny any round and ended up the fight like a bloody mess.

The filipino strated his carrer at 112 and has won the title in every category he´s been ,now people argue about gaining some more weight and going for an upper weight(which is a non sense to me) or making the fight everyone is expecting for, against Pretty Boy
    in 2010.

Might have to buy that fight. Would be the first PPV for me since Tyson bit Holyfield.

Too many political decisions in boxing have driven me away from the sport.
The promoters' judges stealing victory from a deserving fighter has tainted the sport.
I watched it for years and love a great fight.

But some of the better boxers are the best at running backwards and don't fight that much.

My favorites have been the Mexican fighters who always come to fight.

I love and respect the fighters.

The boxing commisions seems to be owned by the promoters.

Money has corrupted the "Sweet Science".

I don't watch it much anymore.
What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. Its the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

    .
Right on.it s been many times this year watching big robberys ,the Cotto-Clottey for instance went to the puertorican for the promoters and MSG crowded of boricuas.Clottey should have won that one ,hands down.

Last night I saw Paul Williams (U.S.A.)vs Sergio Martinez(argentinian),all must be said heck of a fight, but very tied indeed ,I am not an expert by I had 115-113 for Martinez,HBO commentators said 114-114 ,result of the fight Williams by Split decision, all 3 of the judges were from the U.S (incomprensible in any other sport) , one of them got the fight 119-110 to P.Williams ,119-110? WTF!!!??

ESPN reported last week that Staples Center offered $20 mil. for the Mayweather JR. v. Pac man. Then Jerry offered $25 mil. so we'll see.

I thought Williams won the fight, but the 119-110 score was outrageously bad.

Awesome. Boxing is still very much alive and kicking. The heavyweight division, Tyson, all that garbage, did cast a shadow, but the lighter divisions more then made up for that stuff. M.A. Berrera, is one of my favorites. The great J.C. Chavez, Manny, awesome. And as for mma being more brutal, I have yet to see someone die in the Octogon, primetime. Here's a pic of my boy Brady, doing his thing with his coach, Rocci.
