If I wasn't my own boss, I wouldn't be on the computer as much.

I have posted this before, I know people that have been fired, "let go," over non-work related internet use. This seems to be a different case, but none the less, you're out there on the internet and people are watching.

Wow, what person has that little to do with their time that they would complain to the city about a guy posting on an internet forum? Especially if the guy was doing his job. He was there for over a year, so obviously his posting took very little away from his performance at work. Some people are just ridiculous.

It is not professional to be blabbing work related topics on the internet. Some poor bastard farting during an interview, even though it was made up, the guy that turn Sassy in, was outrage at the City Employee was doing during the middle of the day and talking about business with anyone that wanted to read it.

I can see where he might have been upset enough to go to the trouble. It was probably as simple as picking up the phone for 5 minutes and talking to someone at the City Office.
