Bold Prediction
Mike Mayock of NFL Playbook just said that he was picking the Detroit Lions  to win the division this year. With Jeff Garcia as the QB most of the way.
I just wanted to post that.
I have a different view.

Re: Bold Prediction
I almost fell out of my chair. WTF??? I guess for the sake of arguement someone has to pick someone besides the Vikings and the rose must be falling of the Packers vine. And picking Chicago, well......(leave that one to the masses)

Re: Bold Prediction
It makes sense for the Lions to make a serious push for the division, I guess. They do have 2 really good Wr, a promising Quarterback in Harrington, a good coach in Mooch, a good defense and a good special teams. The problem is that they seem to screw up anything good. They could have a team full of pro-Bowlers with Bellicheck for a coach and somehow that franchise would still go 7-9.
When it s all said and done, you ll have to admit we re number 1!

Re: Bold Prediction
oh yah for sure i bet they finish second.. but win the division? they havent come close the last 10 years.. they have a good QB in Harrington/Garcia.. a good HB with jones (did the best towards the end of the season) solid WR core with williams and rogers and az hakim.. and their D is ok i bet they get a great D player in the draft this year too to make it even better

Re: Bold Prediction
I've been waiting for Detroit to make the push...they are a better squad than the record shows, but they always blow it.

Re: Bold Prediction
yah we are better but we do shoot ourself in the foot also... the lions will be fine man.. their O is pretty much set.. they will get a couple good D players in the draft and they are gettin Boss Bailey back.. 2nd place in the north for sure.. no way the bears top them with their horrible O.. or the Pack with thier terrible D.. the lions are more balanced like us just a little bit worse
