Blue Xmas lights
Why and when did people start putting these things up? Everytime I drive by a house with blue Christmas lights I just wanna say " Have a Happy Kwanza". Am I the only one around that this bothers? Since when did blue become a Christmas color. My neighbor has them up and he looks like he lives in a Smurf hut! I know this is just a "tad" off subject but I just had to get it off my chest.
Have a Merry Red, White and Green Christmas everyone!

Blue Xmas lights
On our christmas tree back in the 70's, we had the big bulbs and they came in four color.
Red Green Orange and Blue
Yes, we associate the colors of Christmas to Santa's Suit, red and white. Also to the Tree = green.
Blue kind of reminds me of the COOL Christmas Temps.

Blue Xmas lights
I have tons of lights to line the top and sides of our house and put them up the last 2 yrs but this year, I was to busy to put them up. Only going to be here 7 more days now then will be gone for Xmas Vacay.
I crapped out, My wife wanted me to put them up but I think I convinced her that it wasn't worth it for 7 days.
Am I the Grinch???
My wife did make the inside look nice and Christmasy.

How much lights do you guys string up?? Takes a long ass time for me to put it up. There always seems to be something wrong with the wires thatll take it a while to put up.

I do not have a link to it, but I remember reading that hanging blue lights was done out of respect to the troops fighting overseas that would not make it home for Christmas. Someone can back me up on that, if they can.
Have you ever seen a race of turtles, and they all go the wrong way instead of towards the finish line?

If blue lights are meant for soldiers overseas then I will gladely take back my previous statement. I guess I'm just a little ignorent on those things.
