sometimes it seems like the badthings kep piling up and good things come along to few and far in between.

That's terrible.
The way they fly so close, I'm surprised they don't have more accidents.

It is always a terrible tradgedy at these airshows. They have one near here & have had 2 tradgedies over a few years. Once a paratroopers chute didn't open & she plummeted to her death through a restaurant roof. Another time one of the planes crashed, but in it with the pilot was also a newly married spouse or both of them, who had won a ride with the pilot.

You should also see a Russian airshow. Not only do they fly much tighter to each other than in the US, they also fly very close to & above the crowd. In one of the pics I saw, they were less than 3 feet apart. The one was flying right above the other one & was upside down also.
