Thread: Bismarck Tribune reporter Crystal Reid dies at 29

I was browsing through the Bismarck Tribune website (which I usually don't do) and was shocked and saddened to find this. I'm sure not many people on here even know of her (unless you read the Tribune) but this is such a tragic story. Crystal Reid Austin was a business reporter at the Tribune and she died at the young age of 29, only 6 days after her wedding day, leaving not only her husband, but two step children as well. She passed away due to a rare vascular disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. I met her when I did a job shadow at the Tribune when I was in high school. She was very nice to me from the start and I admired her work so much. I actually just saw her at Perkins only a few weeks ago, but never got the chance to say hi. Please keep her family in your prayers, I can't imagine the suffering they are going through. 29 is too young...

Death takes us all, but saying good-bye is extremely hard.

Bismarck Tribune business reporter Crystal Reid, 29, passed away from a yet-to-be-released cause, after being admitted to the hospital on Thursday. Those who knew her would heartily acknowledge she had much to live for - and Tribune employees weren't ready for her to leave.

That's too bad.

Oh my gosh only 29 and 6 days after her wedding, that is really too bad.

I'm not ready to punch out just yet, however, I do thank the good Lord each and everyday he has given me another to enjoy.
