Bill O'Reilly Blasts Virginia Tech President Over Rapper Nas

Bill O'Reilly is an idiot.
Are we all in agreement?
In the P.J.'s, my blend tape plays, bullets are strays
Young bitches is grazed
Each block, is like a maze, full of black rats trapped
Plus the Island is packed
From what I hear in all the stories when my peoples come back, black

Re: Bill O'Reilly Blasts Virginia Tech President Over Rapper Nas
It sounds like he's turning into a proponent of gun control which makes no sense considering his extreme conservative ideology. All of fox news is crap from O'Reilly to Hannity. They use techniques such as talking louder and bullshitting facts to get their points across. O'Reilly is completely belligerent and cuts people off when he doesn't agree with them. People sometimes ask him ballsy questions at book signings and stuff and when he doesn't have control over the mic he gets flustered and acts like a 3 year old who just got his toy taken away. He starts his show by saying that it's the "no spin zone" and fox news claims to be a "fair and balanced network". They need to stop kidding themselves and just say "TV for people who don't want facts but would rather be brainwashed by conservative talking heads".
Now that being said I think it wasn't the best choice to pick NaS to appear at VT but I assume they just went for artists that would appeal to a wide range of people for the concert. No reason to go crazy over this, especially when O'Reilly is taking a lot of Nas' lyrics out of context.

Re: Bill O'Reilly Blasts Virginia Tech President Over Rapper Nas
Do you think Nas will go and perform one of his illmatic songs. I highly doubt it, im sure he has a dedication made for the victims of V.A tech.
it's funny how in any other news article they'd referance him as "Rapper..Nas"
But when he's trying to prove how VIOLENT :x ....Nas is they deem him "Gangsta Nas"

I hate when people talk about things they don't know anything about.
First of all, O'Reilly dosen't even know how to pronuce "NaS" name. Secondly, NaS isn't a "gangster" rapper. I don't know where they got that from.
In my opinion, he's very appropriate to perform at Virginia Tech. That guy who was wearing the black shirt with the letters Hip-Hop on it, explained it perfectly. People who actually listen to his music closely, would know that NaS is one of the more positive MC's out there.

I don't listen to a lot of Nas but I assume he's one of the more thoughtful underground type rappers that's not just like "Guns and ho's". The only rappers I listen to on a consistent basis are Jedi Mind Tricks, Immortal Technique, and CunninLynguists so i'm not the best person to judge in this thread.I hate when people talk about things they don't know anything about.

NaS has many uplifting songs and is also very intelligent. I mean, with all the non-sense on the radio, his material is very refreshing. (you should check it out sometime)"TimmyT" wrote:

You listen to IT?
"And now you know why Technique, don't fucking fall in love with people
Hold the person that you love closely if they're next to you
The one you love, not the person that'll simply have sex with you
Appreciate them to the fullest extent, and then beyond
'Cause you never really know what you got, until it's gone"
