Big Target: Middle School WR Checks in at 7'4"

Big Target: Middle School WR Checks in at 7'4"

The Morgan Middle School football team in Ellensburg, Wash., doesn't need a sheet to know when to go for the two-point conversion. It may have a sure-fire play: Just throw it to Brenden Adams.

Adams, you see, is 7-foot-4.

That's right; the tallest teen-age boy in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records is playing football this year. In middle school.

"This is the first year my mom's let me play," Adams told Melissa Luck, an executive producer for KCLY4 in Spokane. "She thought I was gonna get hurt or something. It's my favorite sport and she said this is an opportunity she didn't want me to miss."

I feel like a jerk for saying this, but it'd be interesting to see what would happen to his height if they stopped giving him testerone shots. 9 more inches and he's the worlds talled person

QB can give him a shovel pass every play for 5 yards a down.
I'd just be worried about what happens when he gets hit in the knee.
A guy that tall doesn't look very proportionately built.
Not sure how well he'd stand up to the punishment.

Kid needs to sign up for basketball.
Its where his future is if he has one in sports.
Football is not going to work out for him as a durability issue which is the main reason there aren't 7 footers in the league now.
The best I can do at this point is wish him good health.
Good for his mom letting him chase his dream though.

Also just a note for anyone going to post...watch the video before you do.
It might change what you were going to write.
"There are 3 things that sell in America:
Violence, sex, and drugs.
The only way you are going to make this game more appealing to the public than it was before is if there are on field orgies at halftime and the domes become massive opium dens."

Seconded.

His height is definitely not as "cool" as I expected. Pretty sad story actually. At least he's getting to do what he loves.

It will be all over when someone dives at his knees and he can no longer walk. Sad actually.

But let the kid play as long as he can
We're bringing purple back.
