Best and Worst Announcers

Thought this would be an interesting topic. I'll get things started:

BEST
1. Bob Costas= can do anything, very good in his coverage of the Olympics, doing well in football too this season w/ NBC
2. Gus Johnson= very underrated as a college bball announcer
3. Thom Brennaman= solid baseball guy
4. D!ck Vitale/Bill Raftery= gotta love their entusiasm
5. Phil Simms
5. Mike Emrick/Gary Thorne= classic NHL guys, Thorne should stick to hockey

others: Keith Jackson, Kirk Herbstreet, Pat Summerall (in his prime), Doug Collins, Al Michaels, Troy Aikman is starting to grow on me

WORST:
1. Joe Buck= nuff said
2. Tim McCarver= nuff said
3. Joe Theissman= likes to hear himself speak
4. Joe Morgan= simply awful

others: Steven A. Smith, Brent Musberger, Bill Walton, Madden on a bad day b/c when he's good, he's very good

C'mon guys we all know that Madden is the best. I look foward to every Sunday, hearing him ramble on and on about how to play the game(stuff my 3 year old daughter knows), how much he loves Favray, then BOOM. I can't get enough. HaHa

And also, Joe Buck wouldn't even have a job as an announcer if it wasn't for his dads history.....FACT

I still say we should swap off doing play by play on PP.O.
Many folks here could do as well or better than some of the flunkies they grace us with.

No really my favorite is Troy Aikman cause he's favors the Vikings a little more every game.

Worst is Madden and Joe Buck. Joe....why the hell is his sissy voice getting so much publicity games?

last year i would of said theissman hands down, but corn-sucker is so bad it is starting to make joe.t sound good, or atleast corn-blower cant talk while joe does

Kermit the Gumbel is easily the worst play by play on the air right now.
I was excited for the NFL network to be broadcasting games... but now it sickens me to think that they will have the Green Bay - Minnesota game.
Gumbel is a big reason for that (although definitely not the only one...)
