BEST WESTERN NORMANDY INN & SUITES

Is the Best Western Normandy Inn & Suites located in downtown Minneapolis a decent motel?

    I stayed there last year.
    Not bad.
    Easy walk.
This year I am opting for the La Quinta out by the airport.
Cheaper and I will ride the rail into/outof the game.

Does it have a shuttle service to the MOA?

Hell, you got it made. Designated drivers to & from the hotel (taxi if no shuttle). All you have to do is stagger to the tram & make sure you get off at the right stop.
    :P

You might want to check with Garland. He lives near the mall & he might plan on driving to & from the tailgate.

Brian (my brother in law) and I are gonna check in the hotel and meet BPG there and then ride the rail to the tailgate so we know how to find our way back.

Made those arrangements before I knew GG was gonna make the trip.

Think we will stick with that plan.
Won't be an issue getting there and hopefully we can hang out at the tailgate spot a bit after the game sudsing a few until the crowd levels off a bit.

    Edit:
Yes they run a shuttle, or so the guy said when I called them.

I stayed there last year for the Redskins game. Decent place to stay, they had a great restaraunt that I enjoyed, and it wasn't to pricey. The server was decked out in his Vikings gear. Didn't have to pay to park either like a lot of other downtown hotels!

If you haven't decided on a hotel yet look into Aloft Minneapolis. 2 blocks from the Dome and probably the most fun I have had at a hotel. Along with gameday wings specials and drink specials. We stayed there for the Bears game this year and from now on that is where I will stay when I go to a game!

Just saw you already made the reservation.

    Thanks PPE for the Sig

I have never stayed there, but I think when I came down it was one of the ones we were considering.
