Yeah, but if there was an alumni donation cap, my schools would be able to compete on a more even playing field!!! College football may be a great product on the field, but behind the scenes it is the most corrupt and self serving entity the world has ever known!!!

Yeah, but the reality is that if you didn't go to one of the relatively few "glamour" schools or your school isn't in one of the "glamour" conferences, you are SOOL!!! Total BS as far as I am concerned...and don't even get me started on the Bowl system or the BCS...it's just the rich getting richer!!!
BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Haha, I agree. It's all about sponsorship money. That's why we now have the Wintersmore Douche Fiesta Bowl. It's ok though when you don't have a connection to any D-1 schools. I go to a D-2 school, so I just root for Michigan, who benefits from all the sponsorship crap anyways.

From what I remember, Illinois hasn't been all that great in recent years. That will probably change soon, so this comment will come back to haunt me, but NIU might be able to give them a run for their money.

yeah, illinois really sucks at football... So that makes me a OSU football fan, and a ILLINI basketball fan. (been this way for four years, I'm no bandwagon!)

Im pretty sure northern illinois would beat illinois this season if they played or not.

Illinois has been in the pits for some time.

I dont know about ndsu moving up to div 1 but im guessing they are the best team in north dakota.

Can't wait for college ball to start, so I can start scouting possible viking draft prospects in 2006.
